Tungsten West PLC begins public consultation for Mineral Processing Facility permit

Tungsten West PLC mining company, has announced the commencement of a six-week public consultation period by the Environment Agency regarding a Mineral Processing Facility (MPF) permit.

The company’s primary focus is on resuming production at the Hemerdon tungsten and tin mine located in Devon, UK.

This consultation marks the final stage before the Environment Agency can grant the permit. The Environment Agency has released a video explaining the permit process.

Neil Gawthorpe, CEO of Tungsten West, expressed positivity about reaching this stage, stating, “Receiving and accepting the draft permit for the MPF is a significant milestone for the company. It signifies a major step towards securing the additional funding needed for the project and achieving our main goal of restarting operations at the Hemerdon mine, thereby ensuring an ethical and sustainable domestic supply of critical minerals.”
