Global Energy Metals Corp said its partner Kingsrose Mining Limited has reported analytical results from the first two diamond drill holes at the Bruvann prospect of its Råna nickel project in Norway.

Results include the interception of high-grade massive sulphide nickel-copper-cobalt mineralisation in hole 23BRU001 and a broad zone of disseminated sulphide mineralisation in hole 23BRU003.

“Drilling results confirm that mineralisation at Bruvann remains open along strike from existing mine infrastructure with encouraging high-grade nickel sulphides with substantial widths of mineralisation,” Global Energy Metals CEO Mitchell Smith commented in a statement.

Highlights from the drilling include 2.5 metres (m) at 1.00% nickel, 0.14% copper and 0.08 % cobalt from 172.91m in hole 23BRU001, including 1m at 1.94% nickel, 0.18% copper and 0.18% cobalt from 173.91m.

Meanwhile, hole 23BRU003 revealed 50m at 0.43 % nickel, 0.10% copper and 0.02% cobalt from 470.6m.

Drillhole 23BRU002 was abandoned at 245.9m and before reaching the intended target due to excessive deviation.

“We look forward to updating shareholders on further diamond drilling being conducted and funded by Kingsrose at the project as they continue to test a number of targets identified by the recent geophysical and geological studies,” Smith added.

The company said more details about the Råna project and the analytical results for the first two holes totalling 776 metres of the planned 5,000 metres drill program, including significant results from these holes along with images and maps, are available on Kingsrose’s website.
